ICDAM 2023 will be held at the University of Limerick at the heart of Ireland’s Shannon Region is the historic city of Limerick and the Irish Welcome. More recently it has been creating a name for itself as a key destination for business and sports tourism. Climate & Clothing: Limerick has a temperate oceanic climate, mild and rainy winters and summers. In June, temperatures range from daily highs of 18°C to lows of 11°C (64°F/51°F). We recommend bringing layers and a mid-weight waterproof jacket.
Currency: The Republic of Ireland uses the single European currency, the euro (€). Euros come in denominations of €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200, and €500.
Languages: English and Irish (Gaeige) are the office languages in the Republic of Ireland.
Tipping: Tipping in Ireland is voluntary and often uncommon in restaurants because a service charge is added to the bill, so tipping is not necessary. In the rare case a service charge has not been included, tipping 10%-15% of the bill is common. Hotel staff and taxi drivers do not expect a tip, but €1-2 per bag or for exceptional service is greatly appreciated.
